AcidReport is an independent digital publication founded in 2020 and registered in Switzerland. It publishes in Spanish, French and English at a minimum frequency of five articles per week.

Editorial responsibility

Gabriel Schwarb is the founder and editorial director of AcidReport. He practises journalism independently from Morges, Switzerland, and is responsible for final editorial decisions, the investigative line, and the ultimate verification of each published article. The editorial team includes a group of regular contributors who sign their texts under their real names and participate continuously in editorial production. Each contributor is accountable for the veracity and rigour of the texts they sign, under the editorial supervision of Gabriel Schwarb.

Independence and funding

AcidReport receives no funding from political parties, governments, corporations or advertisers. The publication is sustained through voluntary reader donations and is in the process of registering as a non-profit association under Swiss law (Canton of Vaud). There is no economic dependency on any source that could compromise editorial independence.

Editorial process and verification

Each article published on AcidReport undergoes a verification process based on the SIFT method (Stop, Investigate the source, Find better coverage, Trace claims). Primary sources are systematically preferred over secondary sources. Any factual claim that cannot be verified is explicitly flagged as such. AcidReport does not publish public relations content, press releases without independent verification or unsubstantiated information.

Corrections and errors

AcidReport commits to publicly correcting any factual error. Corrections are published in the same article, with a clear indication of the date and nature of the modification. To report an error, use the contact form available at acidreport.ch/contact. Errors will be verified and addressed within a maximum of 72 hours.

Legal framework

AcidReport publishes from Switzerland under the protection of Articles 16 and 17 of the Swiss Federal Constitution, which guarantee freedom of expression and freedom of the press.
