I. Why your support matters

AcidReport has no institutional funding, no advertising, and no sponsors. No government, corporation, or political party supports this newsroom.

What you read here is sustained solely by readers who decide that free, rigorous, and uncomfortable journalism is worth it. Each published investigation represents weeks of work, protected sources, digitised archives and editorial decisions made without external pressure.

II. How it works

The system is straightforward. No mandatory subscriptions, no paywalls, no intermediaries. You contribute what you can, when you can. Content remains open to everyone.

• One-time donation: a single contribution, no commitment.
• Monthly support: the most useful form to guarantee editorial continuity.
• Any amount: there is no minimum. What counts is the decision to support.

Funds received are used exclusively for the newsroom’s operations: field investigations, technical infrastructure, source protection and publication.

V. Transparency

AcidReport is in the process of being established as a non-profit association under Swiss law. Once the structure is formalised, we will publish an annual income and expenditure report. In the meantime, we commit to answering any questions about the use of funds through direct communication.

Without readers who bet on independence, free journalism does not exist. This newsroom exists because you decide it exists.
