EDITORIAL DECLARATION — ACIDREPORT
Manifesto
I. Declaration of principles — The truth is non-negotiable
AcidReport was born of a conviction: the truth is non-negotiable.
We answer to no party, government, corporation or economic interest. Our sole commitment is to journalistic independence, historical memory and the voices silenced by media manipulation and political censorship.
Our mission is clear: to investigate, document, expose and archive. Each article is an act of resistance; each investigation, a means of preserving collective memory against those who seek to rewrite history.
II. Facing global barbarism
The world is burning while financial and political powers dress up reality.
- Gaza: a genocide broadcast live, transmitted in high definition, while Western governments negotiate arms deals and gas pipelines.
- Ukraine: a war tearing Europe apart, fuelled by geopolitical interests that use us as pawns.
- Syria, Congo, Yemen: entire populations condemned to oblivion, erased from media narratives.
The mainstream media do not inform: they manufacture perceptions. Disinformation becomes a weapon of war, justifying crimes, rendering victims invisible, whitewashing the guilty.
AcidReport exists to break this siege. To say what others keep silent. To show what others conceal.
III. Colombia — Memory, violence and narco-politics
Colombia is an open wound. A laboratory where violence, corruption and propaganda converge.
- Institutionalised narco-politics: the most powerful cartels on the planet finance political campaigns, legislation and presidents.
- Persistent paramilitarism: armed structures that control territories, economies and minds.
- Silenced journalists: threats, forced exile, assassinations concealed beneath ambiguous headlines.
To speak of Colombia is to speak of a war against truth. AcidReport defends the memory of victims, investigates the networks of power that profit from death, and denounces the complicity of those who were supposed to protect us.
IV. Media complicity
Media manipulation is structural. The major media conglomerates are not neutral observers: they are political actors. They decide what we see and what we ignore. They conceal massacres while amplifying distractions. They criminalise protests and legitimise repression.
In Colombia, this complicity takes the form of open or veiled censorship. In Europe, the phenomenon is more subtle: information overload, an excess of irrelevant data, the creation of false symmetries. Disinformation kills. It kills democracies, kills peoples, kills memory.
V. Our right to report is protected
We publish from Switzerland, within a solid legal framework that protects independent journalism:
- Swiss Federal Constitution — Arts. 16 and 17: guarantee freedom of expression and of the press.
- Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP, SR 235.1): ensures the confidentiality of our sources and documents.
- European Convention on Human Rights — Art. 10: protects the right to receive and impart information without interference.
We are in the process of registering as a non-profit association under Swiss law, reinforcing our independence and our public service commitment.
VI. Against intimidation and censorship
AcidReport is the target of digital attacks, political pressure and direct threats. We state this clearly: we accept no censorship, we will not negotiate our editorial line, we will not conceal data for political or economic convenience.
Every attempt to silence our voice only strengthens our resolve to speak louder. Our archives are duplicated, protected and hosted in Switzerland, beyond the reach of those who seek to erase memory.
VII. Our loyalty is to the truth
We seek neither prizes, nor easy alliances, nor the approval of elites. We seek lucid, critical readers, capable of confronting official narratives.
We believe in journalism that disturbs, that questions, that provokes. Because without a free press, democracy is nothing more than an empty word.
VIII. Final call — Silence is complicity
We live in an age of collapse: environmental, political, social. Barbarism is no longer an exception; it is a system. But surrender is not an option.
AcidReport exists to resist, to archive, to expose. If we fall silent, oblivion wins. If we speak, hope remains.
Information is a right, not a privilege.
